Globe Trade Centre S.A. (GTC) has signed a lease agreement with one of the leading global IT suppliers, Hewlett Packard. HP plans to develop its activity in Wrocław and for this purpose it will lease 6,500 sq m of office space in the GLOBIS office building in the city center.

GLOBIS Wrocław is scheduled for completion by the end of March 2008. Finishing works are now underway. The investment is located at the intersection of Powstańców Śląskich and Swobodna streets, in front of Arkady Wrocławskie, close to the main railway and bus stations, and is surrounded by many commercial and residential buildings.

The GLOBIS building comprises 850 sq m of retail & service space on the ground floor and eleven floors with an average area of 1,200 sq m of office space. The total office area available in the building is 14,500 sq m.

Apart from Hewlett Packard, which is to occupy four floors, other companies that will open their offices in GLOBIS Wrocław include Raiffeisen Bank (1,200 sq m), Medicover (1,300 sq m), HDF (475 sq m) and the Tarkowski notarial office (400 sq m). The first tenants will move into the building in the middle of May 2008.

GLOBIS Wrocław is based on the architectural design by Studio EL, a local architectural studio from Wrocław directed by Edward Lach.The same studio designed GTC’s second investment in the city, Karkonoska Office Center, where construction is to begin this year.

Wrocław is one of seven cities in Poland where GTC operates, alongside Warsaw, Cracow, Poznań, Katowice, Łódź and Częstochowa. The company has been present on the Polish real estate market since 1994 and is steadily extending its European portfolio, investing in three main sectors: office buildings, shopping and entertainment centers, and residential property. The company was named CEE Real Estate Developer of the Year 2007.
