Galleria Stara Zagora developed by GTC Bulgaria was granted second place in Commercial Buildings category in the annual Building of the Year competition. Since its launch in 2002, Building of the Year National Contest has presented buildings developed during the past ten years in Bulgaria, that have become a kind of review of trends in architecture and construction in the country, aiming to be excel quality and original ideas and innovative decisions.

The Building of the Year contest is organized under the patronage of Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works with the support of local professional organizations. The jury of the contests consists of Bulgarian and international experts in the fields of architecture, investments, town-planning, consultant services and business.

Galleria Stara Zagora is a multifunctional shopping and entertainment complex opened in 2010, part of the international shopping center chain of the same name GALLERIA, developed and managed by GTC. The net built-up area of the project, situated on 4 levels, is 36,400 sq m. The complex has a multiplex with 7 cinema halls, popular international and local fashion brands, food court, a playground, a kids club, party center and a parking with 800 parking places. The investment in this project exceeded 60 million Euro.
