- GTC is going to develop a shopping and entertainment centre in the Warsaw’s district of Białołęka

- Construction is planned to start no later than spring 2013
GTC plans to develop another modern shopping and entertainment centre in Warsaw, simultaneously to the planning stage of its retail investment in the Wilanów district. The mall will rise on a 4,9 hectare site in the Białołęka area. The investment is estimated at approx. EUR 160m.
GTC’s project will be developed on a plot located at Światowida street in close vicinity of the Białołęka District Office and next to the future intersection of Modlińska street and the freeway extending from the Northern Bridge. According to the local zoning plan, the whole site that belongs to GTC is assigned for commercial services and large scale retail projects.
“The planned investment is a response to the actual needs of inhabitants of rapidly developing Białołęka and neighboring districts, where modern trade and service is still limited” – says Piotr Kroenke, General Manager of GTC S.A. “With development of the local transport infrastructure – including the construction of the Northern Bridge – our center will successfully attend on residents of the right and left bank of the Vistula river” – adds Piotr Kroenke.
“We are contented with the fact that in the central part of our district a modern facility with a wide retail and entertainment offer will be built. We believe that this initiative will enjoy the support of the district’s authorities and its inhabitants – says Jacek Kaznowski, Mayor of Białołęka district.
Thanks to excellent communication options, the catchment area of the new centre will extend at neighboring districts of Żoliborz, Bielany, Praga Północ and Targówek. The total catchment area of the GTC site is estimated at nearly 540,000 inhabitants.
The architectural design of the mall in Białołęka will be developed by the same renowned companies that are involved in the Wilanów project – Tzur Architects and APA Wojciechowski.
The construction of the mall in Białołęka is expected to start no later than spring 2013, after obtaining a building permit. At the moment, the planning stage is in progress.
