Galeria Jurajska celebrates its second birthday

Retail

Galeria Jurajska solidified its position on the Częstochowa retail market in 2011. From January through August 2011, Galeria Jurajska welcomed about 4.5 million visitors. Since opening in October 2009, about 12.5 million customers have visited the mall. Galeria Jurajska averages some 540,000 visitors per month.

The months with the highest customer traffic at Galeria Jurajska are March, July, August, October and—traditionally—December. There is steady growth in the number of customers who are tourists or are travelling on the DK1 route (connecting northern and southern Poland) and treat Galeria Jurajska as a stop along their journey.

In 2011, new shops and food outlets have opened at Galeria Jurajska with a combined area of over 4,500 sq m (as of 28 September 2011).

The largest new store to open at Galeria Jurajska in 2011 is TK Maxx (its 8th location in Poland, with over 2,800 sq m), offering name-brand clothing, shoes and bags (as well as home and garden accessories). Shops from Strellson (men’s fashion) and Sesst (women’s fashion) also opened in 2011. A Reporter, shop, offering clothing and accessories for women and men, opened in late August, and, in September, Tchibo (in addition to coffee, a wide range of fashion items and home accessories) and Rifle (an Italian jeans brand).

There were changes as well in the food section, where Multifood STP and Kartonowy Chińczyk locations were opened.

More brands will appear at the mall this autumn, including a new Massimo Dutti shop, offering clothing, shoes and accessories, and a Centro shop (clothing and accessories). Both stores will open in the first half of October.

Galeria Jurajska offers more than shopping. In 2011 the mall established and reinforced its cooperation with numerous public institutions and charities from Częstochowa, the region, and beyond. Events on various themes are regularly held at the mall, addressed to a range of age groups, from preschoolers to senior citizens.

Galeria Jurajska supports such initiatives as the annual finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, sports and cultural institutions (like the Częstochowa Municipal Sports and Recreation Centre and the Częstochowa Philharmonic), as well as local welfare organisations.
