Globe Trade Centre S.A. (GTC) has concluded a major lease at the Okęcie Business Park complex in Warsaw. The Hungarian firm EGIS Pharmaceuticals PLC will occupy nearly 1,700 sq m in the Corius building, now under construction.

EGIS is one of the leading pharmaceutical firms in Central Europe. It specialises in production and sale of medicines and active ingredients for pharmaceuticals. It operates through 21 establishments in Hungary and abroad. Medicines manufactured by EGIS are present on all of the world’s largest markets.

“Another dynamically growing firm has joined the group of renowned tenants at Okęcie Business Park, which include such names as Novo Nordisk, Avon, Moeller Electric and Mitsubishi,” said Jacek Wachowicz, member of the Management Board of GTC. “The choice by EGIS demonstrates that Okęcie Business Park offers optimal solutions for the needs of international corporations.”

Okęcie Business Park is an office complex on ul. 17 Stycznia, adjacent to Warsaw Chopin Airport. Corius, currently under construction, is the third building in the complex. The first two, Nothus and Zephirus, were built in 2008 and currently are 100% let. The Corius building will offer 9,100 sq m of Class A office space. The building is equipped with suspended floors, suspended ceilings, soundproof tilt windows, full air conditioning, a state-of-the-art building management system, access control and professional security.

The general contractor for the Corius building is Unibep. Construction work is scheduled for completion by the end of this year.

Ultimately Okęcie Business Park will comprise six buildings with a combined lease area of almost 55,000 sq m. The location of the complex near ul. Żwirki i Wigury and al. Krakowska in Warsaw assures easy access by car or public transit. The surrounding road and rail infrastructure linking Okęcie with neighbouring districts is currently being extended. There is convenient lodging available within a 10-minute drive.

The architectural design for Okęcie Business Park, reflecting both the natural advantages of the surroundings (including a lake and green areas) and the proximity of the airport, was created by the studio APA Kuryłowicz & Associates, directed by renowned Polish architect Prof. Stefan Kuryłowicz.
