Globe Trade Centre S.A. (GTC) has received the award for Office Developer of the Decade by the industry magazine Eurobuild. So far GTC has developed office buildings in six Polish cities for a total lease space of 350,000 sq m.

The competition was open to real estate developers who have contributed significantly to the growth of the office market in Poland in 2000–2010. Each firm vying for the title of Office Developer of the Decade had to have a portfolio of at least 3 office buildings constructed during this decade in Poland. The winner was selected by a panel of judges made up of 39 independent experts, including real estate agents and consultants, lawyers, bankers and engineers. Developers were not eligible to vote. GTC was recognised not only for the high quality of the projects it has carried out, but also for its optimal and effective business strategy.

“The award we have received confirms the strong position GTC holds on the Polish market and clearly shows what an historic influence we have had on the growth of the market,” said Piotr Kroenke, General Manager of GTC S.A. “We will strive to insure that our office projects in future years are just as highly regarded, both by the specialists and by the tenants themselves.”

GTC has been instrumental in helping create the contemporary business image of Warsaw, Cracow, Łódź, Wrocław, Poznań and Katowice. In many instances, GTC’s office developments have revived post-industrial area that had previously been neglected, but now offer modern buildings and essential infrastructure.

The portfolio of GTC’s completed office developments in Poland comprises 350,000 sq m of lease space. GTC’s major projects in this segment of the real estate market include Mokotów Business Park, Platinium Business Park, Okęcie Business Park, Topaz and Nefryt (all in Warsaw), GTC Office Center and Kazimierz Office Center in Cracow, University Business Park in Łódź, Francuska Office Center in Katowice, and the Globis buildings in Poznań and Wrocław.

The Eurobuild CEE Awards were given out during a gala celebration on 8 December 2010 in Warsaw.
