GTC, a leading investor and manager of commercial real estate in Central and Eastern Europe, has announced changes to the leadership of its Polish operations. Effective from July 2026, the company's business in Poland will be overseen through a matrix management structure. Danny Bercovich will be responsible for the retail segment, while the office business will be led locally by Łukasz Jarzyło, Commercial Director, working within the matrix structure under the oversight of Ziv Gigi, who is responsible for the office segment at Group level.
As in Poland, GTC's matrix organisation combines local market responsibility with Group level oversight of key business lines. Accordingly, Danny Bercovich and Ziv Gigi are responsible for the strategic oversight and performance of the retail and office segments, respectively, across Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Serbia and Croatia.
"Our matrix organization enables us to move beyond geographic structures and organise around the core real estate sectors in which we operate. The changes we are introducing will bring our Polish operations even closer to the Group's business platforms, enabling greater collaboration, faster decision making and effective use of expertise from across the organisation. Danny's and Ziv's long-standing experience within GTC, combined with their deep understanding of our portfolio, tenants and markets, make them ideally positioned to lead our business across the Group's markets," said Botond Rencz, CEO of GTC Group.
Office segment: strengthened coordination across the Group
The GTC office business will be coordinated at the Group level by Ziv Gigi, who will be responsible for its the strategic direction and performance across the region. With nearly 20 years of experience in the property industry, Ziv has been with GTC since 2008 and has held a number of senior leadership roles within the Group, including CFO and Country Manager in several key SEE markets.
“Occupiers are placing increasing emphasis on operational efficiency, flexibility and user experience. Our goal is to ensure that our office properties continue to meet these expectations while creating long term value for all stakeholders, including tenants, investors and local communities,” commented Ziv Gigi, Executive Director Central and Eastern Europe – Office Assets.
In Poland, the office business will be led by Łukasz Jarzyło, whose role is being expanded to Commercial Director. With more than 20 years of professional experience, he will continue to be responsible for leasing, asset management and technical operations across GTC's office portfolio, which comprises approximately 200,000 sqm of workspace across six cities.
"I am excited to take on this role and continue building on GTC's strong position in the Polish office market. My priority will be to further strengthen relationships with our tenants, enhance the quality of our office management, and ensure we continue delivering workplaces that meet the evolving needs of our customers.” said Łukasz Jarzyło, Commercial Director GTC Poland.
Retail business: continuity backed by Group-wide leadership
Danny Bercovich is an experienced executive who has been with GTC for over 17 years. For the past several years, he has led the Group's retail business across all its markets. Under his leadership, GTC's shopping centres have continued to strengthen their market positions, maintain high occupancy levels and expand cooperation with leading retail brands. Earlier in his career, Danny also served as Country Manager of GTC in Bulgaria and Romania.
At the local organisational level in Poland, the retail business structure will remain unchanged, ensuring continuity for GTC's retail operations, teams and business partners. Julita Kubalska will continue to serve as Head of Retail Leasing and Director of Galeria Północna, while Anna Borecka will remain Director of Galeria Jurajska.
"Poland remains one of the most mature and competitive real estate markets in the region. A new structure centered on industry sectors empowers our teams to share expertise, learn from one another, and leverage the full strength of our regional network. I look forward to working closely with our teams and business partners to further strengthen GTC's position in Poland," commented Danny Bercovich, Executive Director Central and Eastern Europe – Retail Assets
In addition to overseeing the retail segment across the Group's markets, Danny Bercovich will assume responsibility for the operation of GTC's business in Poland, succeeding Agnieszka Ciupak, under whose tenure the company delivered a number of important initiatives related to portfolio management and operational development over the past three years.
